Gamze Seber is a Turkish-born director, performer, actress, and healer whose multifaceted career spans continents and disciplines. With a powerful presence on stage and screen, Gamze has captivated audiences in renowned theaters across Istanbul, Vienna, and London..

Visionary Artist, Actor, and Healer

Her cinematic achievements include starring as the female lead in the British film "One Night in Istanbul" (2014) alongside other feature films, showcasing her dynamic range and depth as an actress. As a playwright, she penned "Kursak," an autobiographical work reflecting her rich personal journey.

Her academic pursuits mirror her artistic endeavours, holding dual law degrees from Istanbul and Vienna, and having embarked on a doctorate in Human Rights at the University of Vienna. Throughout her studies, Gamze remained committed to the arts, utilizing theatre as a profound vehicle for expressing social inequality—a realization that ultimately led her to leave her legal career behind.

Gamze refined her expertise in physical theatre at the Contemporary Performing Arts Centre (CSGM) in Istanbul under distinguished instructors from the Ecole Jacques Lecoq, in collaboration with ESAD (Paris City High Conservatory). This training deepened her understanding of movement and expression, which she further developed at the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA), where she earned a scholarship for her exceptional talent.

An artist of immense creativity, Gamze’s work has been recognized internationally. Her video art "Breath," awarded the Special Jury Award at the 7th London International Passion for Freedom festival, channels the rawness of historic events like the Gezi Protests and Suruç bombing into compelling visual narrative. Her subsequent piece, "Remembrance," poignantly addresses the theme of femicide and violence against women, earning a nomination at the same festival in 2018. These impactful works were exhibited at The Royal Opera Arcade Gallery and Mall Galleries in London, contributing to important global dialogues through art.

Beyond her accomplishments in acting, Gamze is a transformative yoga, meditation, and mindfulness instructor, as well as a shamanic healer. She innovatively weaves together physical theatre with yoga and energy work, crafting a unique approach to acting through holistic movement. Her creativity-enhancing workshops inspire artists and actors to explore and expand their creative horizons, nurturing their authentic expression.

As a visionary artist committed to elevating the human spirit, Gamze continues to empower others through her interdisciplinary artistry and healing practices, fostering a community that thrives on creative liberation and personal growth.
